The Hull Gay Pride Committee would like to thank everyone that attended and supported our 5th Annual Hull Pride event this Saturday at Mariner’s Park and the Hull Yacht Club. This year’s event was the biggest one ever, and we are grateful that so much of Hull and the South Shore showed up to support the LGBTQ community. The theme of our annual event has always been Inclusion and you could see that on full display this weekend: families, gay couples, straight couples, neighbors, summer visitors and more, all enjoying the day’s field games, live music and dance party. We awarded our first Hull Pride scholarship to a brand new graduate of Hull High School. We were humbled by the Town of Hull’s official proclamation of June 3, 2017 as Hull Pride Day. And we were grateful for all the hard work of our hosts at the Hull Yacht Club, especially Lenny Russell and Sue Flaherty. A special thanks to all the volunteers, participants, vendors and visitors who made the event possible including: drag-queen-in-chief Trampolina; our live band SeaWitch; artist Trish Turner for our raffle prize; photographer Joe Berkeley; Nona’s Ice Cream; L Street Pizza; Selectmen Domenico Sestito, Chris Mitchell and Jen Constable; State Representative Joan Meschino; and our growing team of committee members that spent a year planning all the logistics, marketing and more. Check our website http://www.hullpride.net for photos and upcoming events and activities.
Peace and love,
The Hull Gay Pride Committee

There are more options than just driving to Hull Pride on Saturday, June 4th. Hull is a beautiful place for walking or bicycling. Or if you’re coming from Boston, take the MBTA ferry (see here and below). It’s a cheap ride ($8.50 one way), it’s quick (25min) and its beautiful. And don’t forget to RSVP for the event.
Join the Hull Pride Committee for a “thank you” Sunday Tea Dance on April 24th from 4-7pm at Daddy’s Beach Club (280 Nantastket Avenue) in Hull. We had a great fundraiser event for our summer Gay Pride event. This is our way of saying Thanks.
We’ve set the date for Hull Pride 2016!
It will be on Saturday, June 4, 2016. While we plan to return to Jo’s Nautical Bar in Hull Village in the late afternoon, we are also planning an afternoon event in the Village Green.
Our aim is to ensure that children, adults under 21 and our non-drinking LGBTQ friends and allies can participate in Hull Pride this year.
Make sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.
